Project Summary
The New Desjardins Space was delivered on November 26th, 2020.
Opening its doors in 2014 in the Desjardins Complex in Montreal, the Desjardins Space was a showcase for the cooperative nature of the Desjardins movement through vibrant visuals on large screens throughout the space.
Since then, 45 000 visitors have passed through the Desjardins Space so in 2020 they wished to improve the visitor experience by updating all visuals and content. Desjardins wished to create a new unique concept with modern and innovative visuals to present the 5 distinctive Desjardins themes: History, Innovation, Impact, Community and Socioeconomic Leadership.
The Desjardins Space features two large screens that complement each other and bring the entire space together. Each screen features different types of content and Float4 made sure that the visual language was connected from theme to theme and from screen to screen.
1. Call Wall:
These are ambient and inspirational visuals that are visible from the outside and are the first thing that you see when you enter the Space. This screen is also interactive: as guests pass in front of it, the content changes and moves with their movement. The Desjardins Space also hosts corporate events. For this occasion, exclusively, this large screen allows visitors to discover artwork from the Desjardins Collection.
2. Interactive Screen:
This screen facilitates client presentations, training, quizzes and information sessions with built-in interactivity.
The transition is seamless from the ambient and inspirational space to the educational presentation space.
Float4 gathered inspiration from materials, textures and surfaces from everyday life as well as kinetic architecture and light ambiances, resulting in the creation of playful universes that are both refined and modern.
What’s new and exciting about the technologies?
Not only did the reimagined content design and production simplify the usage of the space and provided improved user experience and engagement, but Float4 also worked with creative Artistic Directors with extensive experience in dynamic art like live shows and motion design, making this experience both artistic and modern.
What has the technology helped your customers achieve?
Float4 brought this digital space into the modern era. Through reimagined ambient visuals and better interactive presentation & training tools, we achieved a better user experience and better staff/ participant engagement. The Space has become a complete tool for the client.
The new design and content helped enhance Desjardins' brand image, inviting people into the Space and therefore attracting potential new customers.
The screens in the space are easy to use for staff and they offer a nicer working environment where employees and visitors alike are surrounded by art. Since the content of the screens is customizable by staff, the whole Desjardins Space experience becomes customizable to various client needs.
